Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and agreements between DJ Lohan (“I”, “me”, “my”) and the client (“you”, “your”). By booking or engaging my services, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. BOOKINGS & CONFIRMATIONS
Booking Fee & Confirmation DJ Lohan does not require a deposit but uses a booking fee to secure a date.

Weddings: R4000 booking fee

Events / Birthdays / Corporate Functions: R2000 booking fee
The booking fee must be paid within 7 days after the quote has been issued. If no payment or confirmation is received within this period, DJ Lohan reserves the right to accept another booking for the same date and is not obligated to hold the date. The booking fee is strictly non-refundable.
2. PAYMENT TERMS
The full outstanding balance must be paid 7 days before the event date. DJ Lohan will not commence setup or provide any services unless full payment has been received before the event. Failure to complete payment within this timeframe may result in cancellation of the booking without refund of the booking fee.
3. CANCELLATIONS & POSTPONEMENTS
The booking fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. For weddings, if the booking is cancelled within 3 months of the wedding date, the full contracted amount remains payable to DJ Lohan, unless DJ Lohan is able to secure another booking for the same date.
4. Setup & Breakdown Requirements
DJ Lohan requires 90 minutes to set up and 90 minutes to break down equipment. It is the client’s responsibility to inform the venue of these requirements and ensure access is available. DJ Lohan shall not be rushed during setup or breakdown as this may compromise safety and equipment. Once setup is completed, the setup will not be relocated. If relocation is required, a breakdown and relocation fee of R2500 will be charged.
5. Venue Requirements
Venue Requirements The venue must provide:

A stable power supply within 10 meters of the DJ setup

A table and tablecloth for DJ equipment

Adequate space near the dance floor
DJ Lohan may refuse to perform if placed in a corner or too far from the dance floor.
6. EQUIPMENT & PERFORMANCE
The client will be held liable for any damage to DJ equipment caused by guests, venue staff, or attendees during the event. Water guns, drinks, or any form of liquid are strictly prohibited near DJ equipment, including microphones. Guests are not allowed to touch or operate DJ equipment at any time.
7. Weather Policy (Outdoor Events)
In the case of bad weather or impending bad weather, DJ Lohan will not commence entertainment outdoors unless adequate protection is provided. For outdoor events in the sun, DJ Lohan requires at least 3 umbrellas to cover all DJ equipment, as it cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. DJ Lohan accepts no responsibility for damage to electrical equipment caused by unsafe weather conditions or inadequate sun cover.
8. DJ Meals & Refreshments
The DJ and assistant (if any) must be provided with a meal and beverages similar to those served to guests.
9. Music Selection
DJ Lohan is booked for his professional skill and experience. Clients may provide song requests or playlists. DJ Lohan may use Spotify playlists as guidelines but is not obligated to play every song unless specifically requested by the couple or client. DJ Lohan will use professional judgement to maintain the flow and energy of the dance floor.
10. Event Timing & Overtime
All DJ packages end at 00:00 (midnight) unless otherwise agreed. If the event continues beyond this time, an additional fee of R2500 will be charged. If the couple or host leaves the event early, DJ services will stop immediately.
11. Travel Charges
DJ Lohan charges R8.50 per km from his home to the venue and back. This will be added to the invoice for each booking.
12. Load Shedding & Power Failures
DJ Lohan cannot be held responsible for interruptions caused by load shedding, power failures, or venue electrical issues.
13.Venue Restrictions & Curfews
DJ Lohan will follow all venue rules, sound limits, and curfews. If a venue requires music to stop earlier than planned, DJ Lohan will not be held responsible and no refunds will be given.
14. Guest Requests
Guests may request songs, however, DJ Lohan reserves the right to decline any request that negatively affects the atmosphere or conflicts with the client’s preferences. The DJ prioritizes the overall energy of the dance floor and the client’s requests.
15. Behaviour
DJ Lohan reserves the right to stop music or terminate services temporarily if guests behave in an aggressive, threatening, or unsafe manner toward the DJ or equipment. If the situation continues, DJ Lohan may end the performance without refund. The client remains responsible for the behaviour of their guests.
16. Photography & Marketing
16. DJ Lohan reserves the right to take and share photos or videos of the event for marketing and promotional purposes, including social media, website, and promotional material.
